<\/a>Welcome to Trees of Mystery and the (In)Famous Baul Bunyan Statue!<\/p><\/div>\n
As we were going in to this tourist trap<\/span> site, James told me: I don’t like the look of that statue. As we left, the “speaker voice” coming from the statue told us: You all travel safely!\u00a0 Faith turned to it all flustered and yelled:\u00a0 You’re the crazy one!\u00a0 We’re not sure exactly what <\/em>it was that she thought she heard, but\u00a0 James suddenly noticed that the statue was winking at us.\u00a0 We all left shortly after in a pile of nervous laughter.\u00a0 I think the rain is getting to us.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n Lovebirds under the cathedral trees.<\/p><\/div>\n \n 7 minute sky gondola ride up above the tree tops many feet in the air.<\/p><\/div>\n \n The view straight down...<\/p><\/div>\n \n Not much of a view, but at least we finally got a family photo!<\/p><\/div>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n \n More wild ocean waves.<\/p><\/div>\n \n As we entered the Somoa Cookhouse, we noticed this warning on the outside of the building...<\/p><\/div>\n We ate at a Logging Camp Cookhouse which was established in 1893.\u00a0 Delicious, bountiful family style meals.\u00a0 Lots of antiques and great photos.\u00a0 Opportunity to tell the kids some stories and history from my side of the family.\u00a0 Built on stilts over the ocean.\u00a0 Bathrooms that reminded me of a plywood ferry bathroom.\u00a0 Fun experience and great memories.<\/p>\n \n Avenue of the Giants <\/p><\/div>\n \n Mailing postcards at a tiny post office in the Redwood Forest.<\/p><\/div>\n \n We DROVE through this tree with our van and trailer! <\/p><\/div>\n I have the video to prove it!\u00a0 We had to pull in our mirrors and inch through millimeter by millimeter (Can I use two systems of measurment in the same sentence?), but we made it!\u00a0 $5.00 US well spent for the hysterics it brought on.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>
