{"id":1730,"date":"2011-06-15T21:13:58","date_gmt":"2011-06-16T04:13:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.learningtogetherathome.com\/?p=1730"},"modified":"2011-06-15T21:15:27","modified_gmt":"2011-06-16T04:15:27","slug":"today-i-cried-and-then","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.learningtogetherathome.com\/?p=1730","title":{"rendered":"Today I Cried and then&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t laugh.\u00a0 It&#8217;s true.\u00a0 I cried a tear or two.<\/p>\n<p>A negative person who spoke those bleak words that branded my son.<\/p>\n<p>I cried.<\/p>\n<p>Carrying the thought of someone I love in pain and knowing they were to meet with their specialist today.<\/p>\n<p>I cried.<\/p>\n<p>Seeing folks openly smile at my littlest guy and be so inclusive of him at the Science centre today.<\/p>\n<p>I cried.<\/p>\n<p>And yes&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Seeing the Canucks lose.<\/p>\n<p>I cried.<\/p>\n<p><em>It was a brutal\u00a0ride on the emotional roller coaster of life today.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But then it turned a corner.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My son will receive his first &#8220;boots&#8221; tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>And I smiled!<\/p>\n<p>My kids are all tucked safely into their hotel beds.<\/p>\n<p>And I smiled!<\/p>\n<p>My husband squeezed my hand in empathy.<\/p>\n<p>I smiled!<\/p>\n<p>My loved one had good news from the specialist.<\/p>\n<p>I smiled!<\/p>\n<p>I recalled other hockey seasons.\u00a0 There&#8217;s always next year!<\/p>\n<p>I smiled!<\/p>\n<p>And then I remembered that God&#8217;s grace is enough.<\/p>\n<p>I beamed!<\/p>\n<p><em>Sound trite?\u00a0 Naw.\u00a0 It&#8217;s just another day on the roller coaster of my llife.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Don&#8217;t laugh.\u00a0 It&#8217;s true.\u00a0 I cried a tear or two.
